Arizona-Based Restaurateur Unveils Expansion and Portfolio Updates

Acclaimed restaurateur Eric J. Greenwald is making significant moves across the Valley’s dining scene, unveiling several new ventures and updates to his expanding portfolio. Among the highlights are the launch of a brand-new restaurant concept, Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails, and the addition of two new ProteinHouse locations. These developments complement the modernization of Lorenzo’s Italian Kitchen and the continued growth of his catering company, Wicked Cool Catering.

“We’ve got a lot in motion this year, and it all comes down to one thing: creating great experiences for our guests,” Greenwald said. “Whether it’s a weeknight family dinner or a clean meal on the go, we’re building concepts that deliver. The goal is always the same: make it delicious, make it memorable.”

Slated to open in summer 2025 in Scottsdale, Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails is a modern American restaurant with coastal Mediterranean influences. It will be led by award-winning owner and executive chef Christopher Brugman and will showcase seafood, premium meats, and seasonal ingredients. The menu will feature everything from housemade pastas and artisan pizzas to shareable small plates and large-format entrĂŠes.

“Any time I open something new, it’s about filling a need. If I hear people say, ‘We need more of this here,’ I listen. That’s what happened with my newest concept, Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails,” Greenwald said. “We knew there weren’t any concepts in North Scottsdale like it and wanted to create an unparalleled dining experience.”

A recognized name in the healthy fast-casual space, ProteinHouse continues to expand under Greenwald’s leadership. He currently co-owns and operates three locations, with two more set to launch this year: one at Arizona State University in Tempe and the other in North Scottsdale. The brand focuses on clean, nutrient-rich meals designed to support an active lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Greenwald is also investing in his existing brands. Lorenzo’s Italian Kitchen, a Valley staple for 17 years, is getting a fresh new look and an expanded menu. Additionally, Wicked Cool Catering is scaling up to serve more events year-round. Since launching last year, the company has quickly established a reputation for excellence in catering to a wide range of events, from corporate functions and weddings to private parties.
