Google has released new search engine tools dedicated to travel that make planning and booking trips easier, including new ways to browse hotels, take advantage of flight prices and discover suggested attractions for your destination. Here are all of Google’s updated search features designed to streamline your next travel experience.
1. Activity Planning & Suggestions
When planning a trip, you want to make the most of the time that you have at your destination. To help travelers save time on planning trip activities, Google Maps and Google search listings will now include the prices and booking links to attractions and tour companies. Travelers will also find suggested activities and attractions in their destination that they can try.
2. Flight Prices & Guarantees
Google Flights has a new feature for flights departing from the U.S. Guaranteed price badges now appear next to flights, which designate that those prices should stay the same until the scheduled take off.
Since flight prices constantly fluctuate, it’s hard to know when to purchase tickets. Most of the time, the sooner you grab your tickets, the most money you’ll end up saving. Sometimes, however, deals and other factors lower ticket prices closer to the departure date. With Google’s guaranteed flights, travelers know which flight prices should remain the same, and if the price does decrease after the purchase, Google will reimburse the difference through Google Pay.
3. Hotel Browsing
Finding the right hotel through a Google search on your phone is now a lot easier. Instead of jumping back and forth through separate tabs to compare hotel prices, ratings and locations, users can now view hotels in the location they’re interested in on a single tab through the new swipeable feature. Similar to swiping through social media stories, hotel details are now available with one tap or a swipe up.
