Married/Single: Happily Married

Kids: we are currently going through IVF after several losses over the past couple years. We look forward to the day we are blessed to be parents!

City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

I always start my morning with a good cup of coffee and one of my many shows on Hulu. I get ready for the day and get my workout in. I spend the rest of the day doing work for the blog and running various errands. I end the day with a home cooked meal with my husband and some quality time together.

I was born…

in a small southern suburb of Chicago and lived there until I was 16.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is the sunshine. I am a person that requires the sun on a daily basis! I don’t do grey skies and gloom anymore!

I’m listening to…

all the acoustic jams right now. Give me a candle, a glass of wine and a little music for the soul.

My family…

will forever be the most important thing to me. The family I’ve been blessed with and the family that Brad and I will have in our future.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

forever and always Brad. He is my best friend. Anyone else is second fiddle (sorry to all!).

One thing I cannot live without…

my faith. Without it, what is all of this about?!

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a teacher. Which I was for several years. I taught kindergarten and fourth grade. Currently taking a break from teaching while we pursue other things at the moment.

I’m inspired by…

all the women struggling with infertility and loss. I’m inspired by their stories and resilience.

The one person who motivates me is…

my girl Jessica Lynn (@halljessicalynn) because she is so real and true at all times.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

for the world to see the importance in transparency and truth. It’s so easy to put our best self forward all the time, but what’s real about that? Let’s get to the raw and gritty stuff. It’s what makes us strongest and most humble.

The perfect day would be…

waking up somewhere with Brad where the waters are turquoise blue and the sand white. We would spend the day basking in the sunshine and taking in the peace and tranquility around us.

My first job was…

I worked for a nonprofit Christian organization as an administrative assistant while I was getting my degree.

My favorite escape…

anywhere that is quiet and still. When we block out the noise and distractions, we reach a place of peace and stillness. Throw in a glass of wine, and it’s golden!

My life…

is beautiful. When I stop to look at it through the proper lens, I see it for what is truly is. We are all so blessed. Even when we don’t think it.

I’m currently working on…

so many things. In the blogging realm I’m creating lots of fun holiday content. In life, my husband and I are working on starting a family.

Always…

share. Whatever you’re holding in, let it out. Share your thoughts and concerns. They aren’t meant to be bottled up. Share and let it free!

Never…

give up. This could pertain to absolutely anything that one may be going through or striving towards. Life is about perseverance and pushing forward through all the muck. Keep going and keep striving. There’s a reason why paths are called paths, not dead ends. Don’t get stuck at roadblocks or in potholes.

Favorite Quote…

“As I have loved you, love one another.” -John 13:34

Biggest Dream…

growing old with Brad and our family. I would also love to continue blogging and sharing my passion with others.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

dishonest and surface-level friendships. I seek relationships that get to know someone on a deeper and more personal level, speaking the truth and sharing honesty at all times. Time could pass and distance furthered, but when the friendship remains the same, you know you’ve got something real.
