City I live in: San Diego

A typical day in my life…

usually begins with me feeding my two guinea pigs Olive and April, and going to Starbucks for my cold brew coffee. Then I get to work at my day job as a bridal consultant, make a few dreams come true , and come home to work on my collection.

I was born…

and raised in Tucson, Arizona on May 25, 1988.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

is being able to see the stars at night! My parents live deep in the desert on the South West side with very few street lights. You can see the sky so clearly, it’s gorgeous! Also, I know everyone says this but I love the smell of rain in summer. I miss my Monsoon seasons!

I’m listening to…

my taste in music is kind of all over the place but I’ve been listening to a lot of Destiny’s Child lately. Say My Name really gives me life! I have my music rituals, for workouts I put on Iggy Azalea, and for sewing I put on 90’s pop.

My family…

lives in Tucson, AZ. I have deep roots there! They are all very outdoorsy and like camping and 4 wheeling. I’ve always been the prissy one preferring to stay in the RV with the AC blasting.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

RuPaul! I love his music, show and all he does!

One thing I cannot live without…

coffee, I’m so hooked! I started drinking coffee at first to feel like an adult, and now I really can’t go one day without it.

I’m inspired by…

people who are super confident and bold. I have so much respect for people that put themselves out there like comedians, drag queens, and singers.

The one person who motivates me is…

my husband. Whenever I’m feeling down or want to give up, he reminds me how strong I really am.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be it would be…

to make it more accepting. In every way, possible. I think we could all be more understanding of each other’s differences.

The perfect day would be…

eating my favorite breakfast at the café around the corner, and hiking Torrey Pines down to the beach. Torrey Pines is my favorite place in San Diego, I like to put in my headphones and clear my head on a long walk.

My first job was…

at Hollywood video, when they still existed! The best part about that job was that I got free movie rentals as I’m a big movie buff. The worst part was having to clean the DVD’s with this nasty white gook, I hated that! Also, I have a big dust allergy and would break out in hives a lot there because movies collect a lot of dust.

My favorite escape is….

going to Disneyland! I’m an annual pass holder *dusts shoulder off.

My life is…

good! I love my little apartment with my husband and guinea pigs! I also love working in bridal, I have such supportive co-workers and friends!

I’m currently working on…

my Spring 2018 collection to show in Phoenix Fashion Week this Fall. It’s the largest collection I’ve ever done, so I have my work cut out for me!

Always…

be kind, but savvy. It’s ok to be nice, but value your own well-being first.

Never…

wear white pants. This has gone horribly wrong for me so many times, for so many reasons. I’m so messy I get hot Cheetos on them, or lean against a dirty car. Too risky.

Favorite Quote…

“I’m a loner Dottie. A rebel….” Pee Wee Herman

Biggest Dream…

to have my own design studio where I can create all day full time.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

my Pet Peeve is being told what to do in a rude way! I’m kind of a quietly rebellious person. When I was little and someone would tell me not to touch something, I would wait until they turned around and touch it. So bad! Now I take peoples advice, I just like to be talked to with respect.
