A typical day in my life includes… walking my dog before 6:00 a.m. in 90+ degree weather.

I was born…in Phoenix, AZ.

My favorite thing about Arizona…beautiful sunrises and sunsets, Sedona’s red rock, and diversity of topography.

I’m listening to…an audio book, Dust, Patricia Cornwell.

My family…is my greatest gift.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…Dr. Wayne Dyer.

One thing I cannot live without…Mexican food.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…an author and/or journalist.  My mom told me I couldn’t, but here I am later in life, living the dream.

I’m inspired by…the younger generation and their love of the planet.

The one person who motivates me is…myself.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…kids without a family.

The perfect day would be…meditating on the beach, writing on the beach, relaxing on the beach.

My first job was…daycare worker at YWCA.

My favorite escape…Aulani, a Disney Resort, in Hawaii.

My life…is incredibly blessed.

I’m currently working on…a new adoption memoir called Beautiful and Splendid about my middle daughter’s adoption from China.

Always…meditate.

Never…hate.

Favorite Quote…”Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” Mother Teresa

Biggest Dream…is to be a best-selling author.

My Pet Peeve(s)…haters.

More About Sandra Wilson:
Sandi Wilson was born in Phoenix, AZ, and has spent her life in the desert. She loves to travel, meditate, and of course, write. She was an executive in the public sector for 25 years, most of which were at Maricopa County, as the Deputy County Manager and Budget Director.  She retired from public service in 2016 and is now committed to writing and operating a small vacation rental business.  She has a lifestyle blog and is the author of Luck Times Two, an adoption memoir.

Sandi has a Master’s in Business Administration, and is certified in Human Resource Management, Meditation, and Feng Shui.  She believes in living a Zen life, filled with peace and serenity and teaches meditation and mindfulness in the community.  However, with a husband, three adult kids, a puppy and cat in the house, it sometimes eludes her.

Sandi’s family was formed through adoption.  As an adoptive mother, she shares her insights into the adoption process and the challenges that adoptive, multi-racial families face on her blog and in her book. Follow her on her lifestyle blog; manybeautifulmoments.com.
