Now that the Christmas season is officially here, tons of nighttime holiday activities fill the city. From sparkling trees, festive cocktails and cozy, winter nights, this time of year is brimming with joyful fun. Each night from now until Christmas Eve, Westgate Entertainment District transforms into a winter wonderland, offering free horse-drawn carriage rides, nightly snowfall and Santa Claus visits. Read on for the details of each event, the perfect accompaniment to a long day of holiday shopping.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
When: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays until December 19
Where: Fountain Park
What: Enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides around Westgate Entertainment District throughout the holiday season. Instead of just one carriage, this year there will be three that will allow you to hop in, take a spin and be whisked around Westgate.

Westgate Nightly Snowfall
When: 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly until Dec. 24
Where: Fountain Park
What: The only place in the West Valley to see it snow nightly. Watch as Fountain Park magically turns into a living snow globe each evening. For more information, visit http://westgateaz.com/snow

Visit Santa Claus
When: Noon to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, Noon to 6 p.m. Sundays, 4 p.m. to 8p.m. select weekdays until Dec. 24
