In celebration of Valentine’s Day, The Listening Room is hosting a Valentine’s-themed concert of acoustic love songs. Songs From the Heart will take place Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. and will feature local musicians Colten Hood, Nathan Jude and Adam Simons from Wanderer, along with Iowa native, Jordan Shafer.

Adam Simons: Tempe-based singer and guitarist Adam Simons recently started Wanderer, a new solo project that’s less than a year old and has already shared the stage with Against The Current, Beach Weather, Cruisr and more. Wanderer is a mix of indie rock, 80s pop and R&B.

Colten Hood: Highlighted by wordplay, dark rhythmic beats and haunting harmonies, Gilbert-based singer-songwriter Colten Hood is all about vocals filled with plenty of soul. The Reel EP, Hood’s debut album, is set to release this month and is gearing up to open for Death Cab For Cutie at Tempe’s Pot of Gold festival.

Nathan Jude: Local singer-songwriter Nathan Jude, celebrates his Argentinian roots by performing in both English and Spanish. His sound can be described as a mix of a variety of genres, ranging from R&B to folk.

Jordan Shafer: Along with touring solo, Iowa-native Shafer also frequently travels through Australia bringing his elements of folk, Americana and alt-country with him.

Admission to Songs From the Heart is a suggested donation of $20 per person.
