$4 Million Double Concept Opens in Old Town Scottsdale

Casa Amigos

EEG, the team behind countless nightlife and restaurant concepts around the Valley (RnR, Bevvy, Hi-Fi, The Mint, Casa Añejo, more), have introduced their newest venture, boutique bowling club Skylanes and Mexican restaurant Casa Amigos. Located next to Bottled Blonde in Old Town Scottsdale, the two concepts have taken over the two-story building that previously housed Livewire, which closed its doors last year.

Taking over the bottom floor of the building is the new sexy and stylish Casa Amigos, a sultry upscale take on the traditional Mexican restaurant and lounge that shifts into the nightclub scene once the sun goes down. Designed by HGTV’s “Kitchen Crashers” host Alison Victoria, who also designed Casa Añejo in Phoenix, Casa Amigos features Santa Barbara-inspired design with colorful artwork and traditional Mexican tile work. Foldaway window walls open up to the shaded dining patio that offers views of the surrounding club scene.

The menu includes authentic Mexican bites like a build-your-own guacamole menu, tacos, street corn, Casa Fries and savory dishes like enchiladas, burritos and sandwiches. Plus, the spot will serve up weekend brunch with classics like chilaquiles, breakfast tacos and more. And of course, premium sipping tequilas, mezcals and a variety of margaritas will be up for grabs.

Upstairs, the state-of-the-art bowling club and lounge, Skylanes is a new concept for lively Scottsdale. While a handful of bowling lanes are the spot’s main focus, retro-modern decor and a high-energy mix of modern pop and throwback 80s and 90s hits plus bottle service, add to the novel lounge.

Skylanes

“This location has always been special to Diane and me,” says Les Corieri, co-owner of Evening Entertainment Group. “From our original ultra-lounge and nightclub, Axis-Radius, this space has always been a landmark in the Scottsdale nightlife scene. So when we looked to launch a new concept, we knew we had to go all out and create a one-of-a-kind experience that speaks to the way people like to nightlife today-casual yet stylish dining in an indoor-outdoor setting that takes advantage of Arizona’s wonderful weather. And then with Skylanes we know there a market for fun, cocktail-friendly entertainment with a high-energy vibe.”
