Pitch Your Blockbuster Idea at The Chandler International Film Festival

Got a Hollywood-worthy movie idea that’s been on your mind? Visit The Chandler International Film Festival to pitch the idea, learn about the industry, catch a few flicks and more.

Taking place January 12-15, The Chandler International Film Festival will screen more than 150 films over the four-day festival which will also feature a red carpet and opening ceremony, special world premiere shows, a film auction, audience choice awards, after parties and an award ceremony to top it all off. From dramas and music videos to animation shorts and more, the featured flicks will cover a wide variety of genres. Plus, the festival will also show the world premiere of The Competition, a romantic comedy that will kick the event off on Friday, January 12 at Harkins Theater (Crossroads 12).

For those looking to take their film interest one step further, the International Motion Picture Association will be hosting the first Film Market in Arizona at the festival, an event that allows festival-attendees to network and sell, finance and acquire films. Meet a variety of film pros like distributors, acquisition and development executives, funders, agents, press, directors, producers and writers or take part in offered workshops, seminars, panel discussions, trade shows and pitch opportunities.

Looking to be the next Quentin Tarantino or Will Smith? The festival is hosting four workshops from Dov Simens, one of America’s top film instructors who’s taught some of the industry’s best, including the aforementioned greats. Workshops include topics on producing, directing, screenwriting and distributing.
