Arcadia has recently welcomed High Dive, a new neighborhood joint serving up classic eats and drinks, and the area’s first “high-class dive bar.”

The new bar, which celebrated its grand opening on Sep. 26 is the result of a collaboration between Square One Concepts, Inc. (Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, Wasted Grain) and blue Print Hospitality (Nook Kitchen Downtown) that fuses the comforts of a dive bar with a light and airy vibe.

Dine on savory favorites using high quality ingredients like burgers, sliders and pizza or dig your teeth into unique options like a charcuterie plate that includes a giant pretzel or a quinoa superfood bowl for health nuts. To wash it all down, guests have an array of choices that range from on draught Natty Light to bottles of Dom Perignon — keeping in line with its high-class dive theme.

Amid the “99 bottles of beer on the wall,” a variety of decor and trinkets adorn the space while a Jaws graphic graces the ceiling upon entry. Vintage album covers and 1950s imagery of girls “diving into the deep end” complete the retro vibe. Furnishings include upholstered horseshoe booths and banquettes and wood high-tops with tufted honey leather bar stools. Pull up a seat to the full-service bar complete with a walnut top and enjoy views of Camelback Mountain. The bar is also home to a variety of board games, darts, arcade bowling and more.
