Grey Hen Rx Unveils New Cocktail Experience for Cinco de Mayo

If your Cinco de Mayo plans call for something a little more transportive than the usual night out, Grey Hen Rx is offering exactly that. The intimate, high-concept cocktail bar tucked inside Century Grand is debuting a brand-new theme and menu, inviting guests into “Wicked City,” a moody, immersive experience inspired by 1920s Juárez, Mexico – one of the historic birthplaces of modern hospitality.

Known for its theatrical approach to mixology, Grey Hen Rx’s “Wicked City” channels the energy of a bygone era, where culture, nightlife, and craft cocktails intersected in sometimes rebellious ways. The result is a setting that feels both vintage and modern, perfect for marking the spirit of Cinco de Mayo with a twist.

At the heart of the experience is a lineup of tequila-inspired cocktails. The Offering blends Don Fulano Blanco tequila with Granalta 5-year añejo piloncillo rum, passionfruit, and warming notes of Mayan anise and guajillo, all rounded out with citrus and a flan clarification for a silky finish.

For something a little more playful, Pablito mixes mal bien zacate limón with Los Explorer Blanco, complemented by white chocolate and a house-made grapefruit and lime soda, finished with a touch of salt.

Then there’s Avenida, a spirit-forward option featuring Patrón reposado, orange liqueur, Campari, and house-made sweet vermouth. Guests can order it “con sol”, adding another layer of customization to the experience. Grey Hen Rx isn’t just about what’s in the glass, it’s about how it comes together.

From the ambiance to the storytelling to the precision behind each cocktail, every detail is designed to pull guests into another time and place. For those looking to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with something a little more elevated and immersive, “Wicked City” offers a fresh way to toast the occasion. For more: bartershake.com.
