Free Drive-In Comedy Night at High Street

Need a little laugh? We thought so. House of Comedy and High Street are teaming up to host a drive-in comedy night Wednesday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. The pop-up event will be held at High Street in the east parking lot off 55th St. and Deer Valley.

The comical show will be headlined by local standup comedian and writer Michael Longfellow and opened by comedians Charles Engle and Jon Carden. Longfellow, who’s now based in Los Angeles, has been a regular at Tempe Improv and Stand Up Live, and helped run The Big Pine Festival, Arizona’s debut comedy festival in Flagstaff which now attracts comics from all over the country. He’s also placed 2nd at the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, was selected as one of TBS’ Comics to Watch, has done stand-up on CONAN and can now be seen on Hidden America with Jonah Ray and Bring The Funny on NBC.

Attendees of the pop-up event will be required to stay in their cars which will be spaced out to follow CDC guidelines. The show’s audio will be broadcasted on a local FM frequency and select High Street restaurants will be open for take-out food service so guests can snack while they laugh from the comfort of their car.

Tickets are free but limited due to space. Reserve your spot today by clicking here. Attendees are also encouraged to make an online donation to St. Mary’s Food Bank. The parking lot will open at 6:30 p.m. The show is 18+ appropriate.
