Baby You’re a Firework: July 4th Parties and Celebrations

It’s all about the red, white and blue at these dazzling parties and spectacular events across the Valley that celebrate Independence Day.

Perched on the third-floor deck of Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix, LUSTRE is celebrating Independence Day with live music and DJs, food fresh off the grill, craft cocktails, a satellite beer bar, cabanas and more. Plus, guests can also enjoy a nighttime firework show from LUSTRE’s rooftop after Friday’s Diamondbacks game, located just across the street. This weekend-long celebration will begin with the Kick-Off Party on July 4 and give party-goers extra celebration time through Sunday, July 7. No cover, open to the public.

The Phoenician is igniting your holiday weekend July 4-7 with food, fun and family. Enjoy special events and activities like a treasure hunt, frozen t-shirt and watermelon eating contests, relay races and more. Join on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. for the Ignite Carnival and a fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Civana will be hosting their second annual aerial light show on July 6, complete with 100 custom LED-lit drones from Firefly Drone Shows. Called CIVANA Lights: Drone Show Spectacular, the night will include a variety of designs and formations, as well as patriotic elements and synchronized music and will light up the night sky 300 feet above the ground and can be viewed up to a mile away. Additionally, street side CIVANA and the Town of Carefree will be hosting a festive Community “CIVANA Lights” Block Party from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Enjoy live music, culinary delights, food trucks, drinks, family fun and more, all before the stunning Drone Show begins at 8:45 p.m. Admission is free but donations are encourages to support the Carefree Fire Department.

Celebrate Independence Day at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess with a lineup of patriotic events during their Fourth of July Freedom Fest, July 3-6. The weekend includes concerts, fireworks, all-American fare, military tributes, real-life military superheroes, a vintage air show and poolside fun.

Fort McDowell Casino will host the Red, White and Boom Celebration on July 3 at 7:30 p.m. The free event kicks off with a free outdoor concert from 7:30 to 9 p.m. from One of These Nights, the popular Eagles tribute band, and is followed by the dazzling fireworks display. Afterwards, Thaddeus Rose Band will perform the best dance rock hits in the Lucky 7 Saloon from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Kick off Independence Day at 8 a.m. with a free commemorative Fourth of July t-shirt available at the Fortune Club until 11:59 p.m.

Tempe Beach Park will be hosting its annual July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival, complete with food vendors and family activities like face painting, relay races, live entertainment and a Family Fun Fest. The annual fireworks show will be launched from the Mill Ave. Bridge. Gates open at 5 p.m.

The AC Hotel Phoenix Tempe/Downtown will be hosting a rooftop party on July 4 from 5 to 10 p.m. including live music, food, drinks and a great view of fireworks.

WestWorld of Scottsdale is throwing a 4th of July celebration on July 4 from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Enjoy pony rides, a bull riding show, Fortnite-themed food and drinks and experiences, kid-approved rides, an obstacle course and a Good Karma K9Z Stunt Show with rescued canine friends. The night will be capped off with a firework show at 9 p.m.

Take part in the Red, White and Booze Bar Crawl on July 3 from 6 p.m. to midnight, including stops at Wasted Grain, Whiskey Row, Dakota and more. Tickets include admission into all bars plus three penny drink vouchers and more.

Join the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field for their post-game Fireworks Spectacular on July 5. Watch the sky light up after the game against the Colorado Rockies which kicks off at 6:10 p.m.

Andaz Scottsdale is the place to celebrate July 4th in Scottsdale thanks to an ultimate desert pool party featuring a poolside DJ, summer grill out, drink specials including All-American Punch and Deep Eddy Vodka specials, lawn games with prizes, and a Dive-In Movie Night at the Turquoise Pool. Non-resort guests can purchase a day pass here.

Surf on over to HULA’S Modern Tiki on July 3 for a festive pre-holiday party featuring Tiki Time Happy Hour 3:30 p.m. to close. Hosted at HULA’S in Phoenix and Scottsdale, enjoy deals on signature tropical cocktails, appetizers, beer and wine. HULA’s will be closed on July 4 but will reopen July 5.
