On October 23-25, Arizona will fill with soulful sounds and jazzy feels. The Arizona Jazz Festival will be celebrating it’s 25th year of bringing the blues to the desert. This year, big names will headline the music festival and guarantee hours of effortlessly smooth tunes. Taking place at Rawhide, concert goers can look forward to three full days of award winning talent of the past decades.
Grammy award-winning Anthony Hamilton will take the stage Friday, along with “Twisted” singer Keith Sweat, R&B king “Babyface,” and the brotherly quartet Jodeci. Saturday will be just as big with nineties hip hop rapper Common, Grammy award-winning and Jimmy Fallon’s house band The Roots, and Erykah Badu who garnered recent attention for covering Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” The final day of the event will feature Maxwell, whose songs like “Bad Habits” and “Pretty Wings” are filled with sensual lyrics and sounds, and Toni Braxton, best noted for her powerhouse hit “Unbreak My Heart,” and many more.
