If you have visited or resided in the Valley of the Sun over the last decade, you are well aware of the name “Dos Gringos.” The iconic bar and restaurant had made its mark with great food, a serious tequila offering and a stellar atmosphere. When you thought about the bar scene in Old Town Scottsdale, Dos Gringos was the most recognizable venue for over a decade.

After twelve years of being the energy packed place it was, the original Gringos in Old Town started to fall apart and the original ownership team parted ways leaving a classic hanging in the wings. In early 2015, a group from Chicago, “Glass Half Full, LLC,” got word that Old Town Gringos had become available and jumped at the opportunity. Joining up with Jim, an Arizona resident who first fell in love with Gringos in 1998 and Dave Corba, the original general manager of Old Town Gringos, the bar began its revival.

After a month-long renovation, Old Town Gringos revealed its new look, complete with an upstairs cabana deck, rooftop bar with dance floor, all new bathrooms, and a beergarden-style bar for the main patio, all while maintaining its original and popular layout. The menu also got a got a new look adding new modern cuisine choices while bringing back plenty of the old favorites.

With the return of an Old Town staple, the bar will naturally be reinstating its full support of “SundayFunday” along with other exciting events.

“Our goal is to just make everything clean, shiny and put the fun back into everyone’s favorite Old Town bar.”
