If you’re looking for a devilish party, creepy cocktail or a spooky show, we have the places to be. So grab your cat ears, fill up on sugar and prepare for a horrifyingly good night in the Valley.

Step right up, step right up! It’s the grandest (and most twisted) show on earth under the big top at CarnEVIL, as the “Nightmare on Princess Drive” returns to The Plaza Bar, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017. This indoor-outdoor nightspot, in the plaza of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, is the perfect place to enjoy fall weather and a spine-chilling Halloween bash. This year’s spooky theme is “CarnEVIL,” where party-goers enter if they dare into a vintage, turn-of-the-century carnival gone wrong. DJ Pulse will mix the best lounge and dance music, setting the stage for fun house mirrors, stilt walkers, carnival barkers, fire breathers, contortionists and a Halloween costume contest at midnight with prizes. Harlequin clowns and sideshow servers stir up cotton candy, popcorn and enticing cocktail concoctions. Admission is complimentary with VIP tables and bottle service available.

This Halloween, LUSTRE Rooftop Bar at Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix is hosting its “Stranger Things Halloween on the Rooftop” party as LUSTRE transforms to a scene from the 80s with a “Stranger” costume contest with prizes, ghoulish libations and a photo booth. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club. The party is taking place at 8 p.m. on October 28 and October 31. No cover.

Kicking off at 9 p.m. on October 28, Talking Stick Resort‘s Wicked Ball will consist of three rooms including a carnival room and an outdoor ultra lounge. Henna artists and fortune tellers will flank the carnival room, while headliners Adventure Club and The Him will headline the night. Live 101.5 Morning Mess will serve as emcee for the annual costume contest. Ten finalists with the best costume will split a share of $10,000. Advanced general admission tickets are $50 and VIP tickets are $90.

Join The Park for an epic Halloween party at 9 p.m. on October 28. Guests should arrive in their best costumes for a costume contest with $1,000 in cash and prizes. Guests can enjoy $5 Bloody Marys and Fatal Fireball Cocktails and $5 cheese “fingers” served with “bloody” marinara.

W Scottsdale is hosting The Mummy Halloween, taking place on October 28 at 9 p.m. The hotel’s rooftop WET Deck will be transformed into an electric tomb of terror for a haunted night in ancient Egypt. Lavish decor, hieroglyphics and mummies will rule the night that will be highlighted by a giant pyramid along with horror-centric visuals. Guests will be tended by servers dressed as mummies and for entertainment, a live DJ, extreme fire dancers, acrobatic belly dancers and snake charmers will be on hand. Include the pups in your festive celebration by visiting W Scottsdale on October 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for the hotel’s 8th Annual Howl-O-Ween costume party in partnership with Oh My Dog Boutique Hotel. Pups and paw-rents are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes for a chance to win great prizes – including a one-night stay at W Scottsdale. Four-legged guests can show off their costumes at the photo station before snacking on Halloween treats from Oh My Dog Boutique Hotel, while their parents can enjoy cocktails from the cash bar. To make Halloween less scary for homeless pets, The Arizona Animal Welfare League will also have pups in need of fur-ever homes available for adoption at the event. Prizes for best-dressed will be announced at 7 p.m. Entrance to the event is free.

This fall season from October 26 to November 4, Scorpius Dance Theatre presents its popular production, A Vampire Tale. Dubbed “The ‘Nutcracker’ of Halloween,” the yearly haunt is celebrating a return to its roots at the Phoenix Theatre’s Hardes Theatre, the original birthplace of the production. The show showcases 17 talented dancers and aerialists for a dark and sexy drama with quirky and comedic episodes and visually stunning dance and aerial feats. The show takes place October 26 and 27 at 7:30p.m.; October 28 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; November 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m.; and November 4 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.

The Saguaro Scottsdale Hotel is hosting its three-party, two-day Haunted Hotel Ball and 104.7 KISS FM’s official Halloween bash. The event’s opening party on October 27 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. will be headlined by two-time Grammy nominated producer and global festival headliner Dirty South. A detox pool party with yoga will take place on October 28 from 12 to 6 p.m. and the main event will take place that night from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., complete with a $2,500 costume contest.

Dress-up in your craziest costume and head to Rack Scottsdale in Old Town for a spook-tacular deal. Bring your best costume to Rack on October 27, 28 and 31 for a free management-hosted shot of Jack Fire to get your night started. Continue your night with additional specials and a few games of pool.

For a spine-chilling show, the Playhouse on the Park in Downtown Phoenix is showing The Woman In Black from October 31 to November 5. As the second-longest running play in the history of London’s West End, the play recounts the story of a mysterious woman in black, adapted by Stephen Mallatratt and based on the horror novel by Susan Hill. On Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 8 p.m., Padre Murphy’s will be hosting a Halloween Costume Party featuring Halloween jello shots and drinks specials, Halloween games with giveaways every half hour, music and entertainment provided by DJ Patrick and Name That Tune AZ and a contest for best costume held at 9:30 p.m. Prizes for best costume include: 1st Place will win two center court tickets to an upcoming Phoenix Suns game. Section 102, Row 12 ($600 value). 2nd Place will win a trail or jeep ride for 2 at Canyon Creek Ranch. 3rd Place will win a $50 gift certificate to Gaston Jewelry Store.

El Hefe Scottsdale is hosting Dia de Los Hefe on Friday, October 27 featuring music by DJ Cutswell and special bottle service packages. On Saturday, El Hefe Scottsdale will host “A Day to Dismember,” a punk rock zombie theme party with music by DJ Diesel and DJ GTNNT. On Sunday, El Hefe Scottsdale will host “I Know What You Did Last Sunday,” a Scary Movie themed party featuring $3 Bud Lights and $15 Fireball Shot Skis. And on Halloween on Tuesday, El Hefe Scottsdale becomes Yelloween with Vueve where bottles of Vueve will be just $100.

On Saturday, October 28, El Hefe Tempe and Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row Tempe are teaming up to host one mad Halloween party called “Nightmare on 6th Street.” One cover gets you into both popular bars on Mill. The event will feature some of the best DJs in town – DJs Cutswell, Soloman, Ekoh, and AJ Slim along with drink specials, costumes and of course, Halloween décor. In addition, El Hefe Tempe will host a Dirty Dizney party on Thursday, October 26 with $4 Redds Apple Ale and live music. Followed by an “All My Friends are Dead” zombie theme party on Friday night and a sexy nurse “Haunted Hospital” party on Tuesday with Red Bull. Next door at Whiskey Row Tempe, there will be a “Zombie Rodeo” on Thursday, October 26 with music by DJ Ekoh, and drink specials including $3 Coors Lights and $3 Green Tea shots. Friday is the “Whiskey World” party and Tuesday is a mad scientist “Chemical Cowboys” party with drink specials, décor and costumes.

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row Scottsdale is hosting multiple parties throughout the week and weekend. Starting Thursday will be the “Throne of Kegs” party, a Game of Thrones themed event, featuring life size throne of keg, $3 Bud Lights, $5 Fireball shots, and live music by Laura Walsh. Friday will be a dead Barbie themed event called “Zombie & Ken.” Music by DJ Real Live. Saturday is for the “Drop Dead GORE-geous” party goers. Special VIP packages available all weekend. Then Sunday night is the “Industry Asylum,” a nightlife industry party featuring drink specials. Halloween events will continue through Tuesday.

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row Gilbert is also hosting events all weekend long. Starting Thursday, is “The Dancing Dead” party, a Walking Dead themed event for country dancers. Drink specials include $3 Bud Lights and $6 personal pitchers. DJ Steel will be playing the top country hits all night. Friday will be a $1,000 costume contest where contestants will be chosen the night of so make sure you dress to impress.  On Sautrday, Whiskey Row will host “ITS Saturday,” a clown themed party with special bottle services packages. Then on Halloween, Whiskey Row will participate in the 1st Annual Gilbert Rd. Candy Crawl. Families are invited to bring Trick or Treaters up and down Gilbert Rd. in the Heritage District. Trick or treating is from 5pm to 9pm followed by an after party for adults with live music by DJ Steel.

Don’t be a fashion victim as Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour hosts an “American Psycho”-themed Halloween party on Tuesday, October 31. Slip on your finest Valentino suit or Jean Paul Gaultier dress, and make sure that your business card has a watermark because this party will feature a killer mix of classic 1980’s tunes and a spooky, smoky atmosphere. Just watch out for flying chainsaws, and whatever you do, avoid the ‘kill room.’ Not to mention, B&T will be whipping up a custom menu of themed cocktails all named after famous lines from this cult classic movie about a prototypical yuppie Wall Street trader turned serial killer. The full menu will also be available. Doors to the B&T American Psycho Halloween open at 4 p.m., but the party starts fashionably late (8 p.m.) and runs till 2 a.m., and there is no cover charge. Be there, unless you’re too hip to be square!

If you are looking for something sexy and spooky to do this Halloween, who ya gonna call? Ghostball. The streets of downtown Scottsdale come alive with both the walking dead and robots at the 17th Annual Ghostball Party. Taking place Saturday, October 28 (8 p.m. to 2 a.m.), Valley VIPs and celebrities join an expected 5,000 guests partying at Scottsdale’s hottest spots including Hi Fi Kitchen & Cocktails, Bottled Blonde, Bevvy and The Mint for a night of people-watching and celebration. Plus, there will be costume contests throughout the evening with a chance to win $2,000 in cash and prizes awarded for Best Overall Costume (Bottled Blonde), Best Group Costume (Bevvy), and Sexiest Costume (HiFi Kitchen & Cocktails). Spend your Halloween weekend at Kelly’s at Southbridge for a weekend filled with fun, great drinks, delicious food and awesome music! The party will begin each night at 8 p.m. through 2 a.m. There will be a DJ, photo booth and costume contest. Costumes are highly encouraged. Friday, October 27 is a Cops and Robbers theme and Saturday, October 28 is a Totally 80’s Thriller!

Honor Amongst Thieves will be hosting a Halloween party on Saturday, October 28.  The Halloween Monster Mash and Costume Contest will run from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. featuring Halloween punch, several special cocktails, plus a costume contest at midnight.  Honor Amonst Thieves will be awarding the winner of the costume contest with a $200 gift card to Stock & Stable and a bottle of Perrrier Jouett Champagne, and 2nd place will receive a $100 gift card to Stock & Stable.

On October 27 and 28, check into the Maya Motel over Halloween weekend! Maya Day + Nightclub will be transformed into a vintage upscale haunted motel with wait staff dressed as French maids, elaborate decor, go-go dancers/aerialists and confetti drops throughout the weekend. The spooky thrills of New Orleans come to Dakota on October 27 and 28 with a riveting voodoo doll theme, featuring a tarot card reader and wait staff dressed as exotic fortune tellers. DJs will perform throughout Halloween weekend. Tickets available here.
