1. Lana Del Rey

Worldwide success, Lana Del Rey, will be gracing the Valley with her presence this Tuesday, April 15, at the Comerica Theatre.  This international star rose to such fame originally from a viral video that she directed herself. With two platinum hits, both Grammy nominated, her singles “Young and Beautiful,” and “Summertime Sadness,” can be heard by radio stations all over the country, and are internationally popular.  It’s not too late to buy tickets, so don’t miss out tonight as Lana Del Rey rocks the stage!

2. Lorde

The youngest artist to top the Billboards charts with an album of her own songs, Lorde is a New Zealand pop sensation and she’s coming to the Valley this Thursday, April 17, at the Comerica Theatre.  Her single “Royals,” spent a full nine weeks as No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, as well as won song of the year at the Grammy Awards. This nineteen year old is doing big things, and we expect a fantastic show from her this Thursday!

3. Phoenix Improv Festival

Come out for the 13th annual event that spotlights improv troupes from around the country from this Thursday, April 17 to Saturday, April 19, at the Herberger Theatre Center.  Founded by Phoenix performer Bill Binder, the festival has grown into a three-day event with over three dozen acts.  It’s hilarious, and will keep you entertained all night!  Come out and support improv this weekend!

4. Pet Shop Boys Electric

Don’t miss out this Friday, April 18, as the Pet Shop Boys hit the stage at Comerica Theatre.  The electronic duo of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe topped out Billboard’s Hot 100 with their U.S. breakthrough, “West End Girls,” back in 1984.  They have several U.S. hits that they’ll be bringing to the stage this weekend, and they’ll keep you dancing all night long!

5. Wilson Philips

If you’re an early 90’s music lover, you know these women.  The harmonies put together by Chynna Phillips, Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson created memorable singles that will take you back to the 90’s.  You may recognize their hits “Release Me,” “You’re In Love,” or “Hold On.”  Don’t miss out this Friday, April 18, at Wild Horse Pass Hotel as Wilson Philips performs and rocks the stage!

6. Wingstock 2014: Where Music & Chicken Meat

This Saturday, April 19, don’t miss out on Wingstock.  This will be a hopping event with nearly a dozen restaurants competing for the title of Wingstock King of Wings.  This event, put on by the City of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities Department, raises money for Alice Cooper Solid Rock Foundation and East Valley Firefighters Charities.  The entertainment featured at this event will include Johnny Anonymous and Laura Walsh, along with the Guitarnauts.  Don’t leave your children at home, as an easter egg hunt will also be available for all the kids!

7. Earth Day

No matter your age, you’ll enjoy this event!  Come out and party with the animals this Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. at the Phoenix Zoo’s Party for the Planet!  Community partners and information on ways to protect animals and the environment will be available.  Part of the event will be presented by SRP EarthWise Energy.  The day will feature crafts, music and activities. 8. 2014 Sun Devil Football Fan Fest

Hey Sun Devil fans, come out and kick off the football season at Arizona State University this Saturday, April 19! Don’t miss out on the tailgating, a team debut on the field, autograph sessions and much more.  There will even be contest that you can take part in, one of which will include a trip for two to the ASU vs. Washington game in October.  There’s nothing better than a Saturday supporting the Sun Devils!

9. Mixology Class

What sounds better than learning how to make cocktails?  This crash course will be going on this Sunday at 2 p.m. at LON’s at the Hermosa in Paradise Valley.  Guests will not only get a taste of 2 cocktails but a knowledge on the liquor of choice, along with ample time to ask questions and perfect the techniques.  It only cost $30 per person, and you get to learn how to mix cocktails with the best of them!

10. Bike Night

This Thursday, you might want to spice it up by coming to Bike Night in Glendale.  This year’s Bike Night taking place every Thursday from March 27-June 26 is back and is better than ever!  The event is hosted in the WaterDance Plaza from 5-9 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
