V Mag- Footballer’s Wives & Vogue- Natalia and Ewan!

I sat down this am with a totally different topic in mind, one that could aid in the fight against sweltering summer makeup disasters, but the crop of morning blogs in my inbox definitely took me in a more juicy direction. Leave it to V Magazine once again to come up with a racious marvel of sex-itude. If you aren’t familiar V is an always cutting edge and rather in your face publication often ensuing the industry’s top photographers, models, makeup artists, etc for their fashion editorials. And quite often the results are over- the- top goodness that is hard to resist. Months ago I covered the Kate Moss gone gypsy editorial that to me was incredibly gorgeous and showing Kate looking rather healthy not emaciated as some say she was looking. Well the latest issue #66 has gone to a new level of delight for readers by doing a Footballers -Wives and Girlfriends pictorial a la’ British tabloid heaven. Shot by Sebastian Faena and styled by
Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele the editorial features models Alessandra Ambrosio, Dree Hemingway, Eniko Mihalik, Maryna Linchuk, Evandro Soldati, Martin Landgreve, Jacques Naude, Constance Jablonski, and Simon Nessman posing as sexy soccer players and WAGs (their Wives And Girlfriends)

Most of the photos are too tantalizing to show here but rest assured the pics will have some just as excited as the actual matches on the TV if not more. Shot with punched up colors and tabloid graphics this was one of the more creative spreads I have seen in any magazine of late (and that’s saying a lot for a magazine junkie). It was done with such commitment to the concept that you almost forget these are not real. Kudos to the team, clearly it was a go big or go home effort!

And on another completely different but equally (if not more) spectacular note Natalia and Ewan in Magnificent Obsession for July Vogue shot by Peter Lindbergh. This one was truly breathtaking! I almost hate to feature it after the V shoot because it may not get the attention it deserves. This couple’s fairytale gone wrong life in the 50’s was done so well that I almost felt completely immersed in their idyllic world. The Mommy’s got a guy on the side storyline has never been done better. And the real reason for the spread… the incredible fall fashion, does not disappoint! If you are a fashion fan, pick up this issue, it’s a must have!
