H&M Eco-Friendly Collection

H&M always seems to be in the news for one reason or another whether it be their next designer collaboration or their newest luxury line endeavor. This week however is because of their new Conscious Collection. This collection is of course an effort toward sustainable fashion… an effort that H&M plans to continue long term.

I will admit that the first time I was made aware of the Conscious Collection was because of their TV ad. Girls dancing in cute dresses in the rainforest, or something to that effect. Anyway regardless of the silly dancing I was quite drawn to the clothing.

The Conscious Collection hit stores yesterday, though not available at all stores, and it is also available online. Here are some of my favorite pieces from this new eco-friendly collection.

Dress, $29.95; Blazer, $29.95

This powder pink lace dress is perfect for a spring wedding or outdoor soiree. It is made of 97% organic cotton. I suggest pairing it with this conscious white blazer to keep you cozy during the cool spring evening.

Vest, $24.95

If you’re heading to the desert this weekend or next for the most talked about music festival of the year (yes Coachella) consider purchasing this crocheted vest with fringe hem. This pink floral beauty is 100% recycled cotton which I’m sure will score you some fashion bonus points with the music-loving crowd.

If music festival hippie-chic is not for you then you will just love the Conscious Collection Exclusive Collection—immaculate bold colors, great silhouettes and no doubt designer inspired.

Dress, $59.95

Honestly it was hard for me to pick just a few of these Exclusive pieces to share with you, but I was positive you had to see this gorgeous purple dress. The woven organic cotton dress has a sexy cutout back and floral appliqués and embroidery at the front. No doubt it would look great at any fashionable event.

Dress $69.95

Fitted, Grosgrain shoulder straps, floral print and I’m sold. It really doesn’t get any better than colors like these. Garden tea party anyone?

Dress, $199

I couldn’t pass this look up with its short dress and detachable long skirt! I mean two looks, one dress… and the beautiful purple embroidery really just seals the deal.

Dress, $299
Last but not least is the dress every girl will be pining for this season… I personally think it would make the perfect wedding dress—even if it is light gray. It is made of 38% silk, 62% organic cotton, 100% amazing textured fabric and asymmetrical raw-edge ruffles.
