City you live in: Vail/Tucson. A few months ago I moved here with my husband and our cat from Poland. We found a beautiful ranch outside the city among trees and saguaros where I’ve created my fashion atelier.

A typical day in my life includes…

morning coffee, watching my cactuses grow, emails, working on my designs, projects, talking and writing with my clients.

I was born…

in Poland.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

I’ve seen Arizona in the movies, and now I’m living here. This is an amazing adventure. I’ve already seen the rest of the world, I’ve traveled around Europe, lived in Athens/Greece for a few years, now it’s time for exploring Arizona. I’m so glad that life presented this opportunity to me. After heavy European winters, the climate of Arizona is like a blessing!

I’m listening to…

that depends on what I’m doing…there is Jazz from 60’s, Hip Hop, Chopin.. It really just depends on the project I’m working on. Music can be inspiration or destruction.

My family…

has been very supportive in whatever I do.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Carla Bruni, I love her music and she looks like a very nice girl. As a First Lady of France she was very stylish and yet not to coxcomb.

One thing I cannot live without…

good coffee.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

since I remember I wanted to be a painter, I went to an art-profiled high-school and then to Academy of Fine Arts. I’ve done painting, films, digital art and then I found myself designing fashion. For me clothing design is like editing a movie or painting, you’re just using different material. It’s all about idea, color, composition, texture and pattern which is all art. The only difference is that you can actually wear what you have made! That’s why I love fashion design.

I’m inspired by…

weird stories, fairy-tales, history of fashion and life itself.

The one person who motivates me is…

I kinda motivate myself, but when I have my moments of doubts my husband is there for me. He is the one who kicks my butt to carry on.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

character and attitude of some people I know, people who destroy other people life for no real reason whatsoever. I hate corruption, self-centered politicians, and most off all I hate leftovers of the communist regime which are still present in post-communistic countries like Poland.

The perfect day would be…

to see a gila monster! I’ve heard that this is a rare creature. Well, maybe not on my porch but somewhere around.

My first job was…

when I was 16, I got my first payable job to design and paint images of horses on the walls of an old stable. The owner of stable wanted to turn it into a pub. It was fantastic job, I had total freedom with designing and painting on 3 meter high walls. I’ve earned good money for my art. At the time I was already a student of an art-profiled high school.

No, wait, that was my second big job. My first job was playing French horn in child-teenage Brass Orchestra. It was so fun, I was around 12 years old and we were traveling around Poland playing concerts and on top of it they were paying us…crazy, right?

My favorite escape…

riding a bike. I just love, love wandering the streets of this city and wild, wild west.

My life…

is fantastic, I cherish every day.

I’m currently working on…

my newest collection “Razzle Dazzle Girl” which will be shown at Tucson Fashion Week, October 17th.

Always…

be truthful to yourself and do what your gut tells you, otherwise you will be unhappy.

Never…

hm…I never wear jeans, I know, weird. OK, maybe when I’m hiking.

Favorite Quote…

“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” So true, because no matter how hard and honest you work on achieving your goals, there is always possibility that someone or something will thwart your plans. But sometimes it turns out for the best.

Second, “Life is too short to wear boring cloths”. This is my brand’s modus operandi! I love when people are extravagant. I would like to see more of that, a bit more individuality, more security of expressing yourself through your clothing. We are very safe today, people are not extravagant any more.

Biggest Dream…

to keep developing my goals and most of all to see my designs at the Space Station.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

mosquitoes, flies and dishonest officials.
