Z’Tejas’ All-New Low-Cal Cocktail Menu

Z’Tejas is hopping on the bandwagon and offering low-calorie cocktails for the large population of dieters! Whether Bethenny Frankel has had a hand in this new addition or not is unknown… But it seems, with the margarita infested menu, that her style is written all over it. Oh well… Low-cal cocktails in AZ!

The cool new sips on the new low-cal cocktail menu run at approximately 250 calories each. They are also made with all-natural ingredients and no, just because the calories are cut in half, doesn’t mean the quantity is too. These babies are just as loaded with margarita goodness as the next!

As we discovered in a few prior blog posts, traditional restaurant-style margaritas can send you back about 500 calories, as ordinary margarita mix is predominately sugar. The new Z’Tejas diet margs are loaded with: Cabo Wabo Reposado tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, Herradura agave nectar and a splash of soda water.

“Happily, taste isn’t compromised. If anything, the drinks are greatly improved, thanks to the real flavors of fruit, vegetables and herbs,” according to The Arizona Republic.

Along with the margarita, the Veev Spa Cooler is an “early bestseller,” according to Z’Tejas’ Director of Marketing. The cocktail mixes Veev Açai Spirit, fresh lime juice, cucumbers and mint, to deliver a delicious sweet sip with only 230 calories.

The cocktail with the the most calories on the menu is the Hedrick’s Gimlet (at 240-calories). The drink blends Hendrick’s gin, fresh lime juice, Herradura agave nectar and a slice of cucumber.

On the other hand, the lowest of the low comes in at 190-calorie with the Grand Smash. This concoction mixes Grand Marnier with muddled lemon and mint. Yum!
