There are few things more wonderful than enjoying Sunday brunch with family and friends–especially when you’re enjoying eats as innovative and delectable as those at St. Francis in Phoenix. On weekends, St. Francis offers brunch from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m in a super-cool setting that melds modern with industrial with rustic design. On its brunch menu, St. Francis dishes up egg plates, hearty lunch entrees, indulgent eats from the wood-fired oven, a.m. cocktails and much more. (St. Francis is a great spot to take the kiddos, too, as those 10 and under eat free.)
Those craving breakfast-y dishes can choose from house-made biscuits and gravy, a veggie-packed farmers’ market frittata, eggs benedict, hearty baked eggs with braised beef, a turkey scramble and much more. For a sweet start to the morning, St. Francis’ iron skillet pancake is a true treat and possibly the best pancake in the Valley. The thick, warm pancake is chock-full of dark chocolate chips and crowned with caramelized apples, olive oil and a dollop of creme fraiche. Side it with a few strips of delectable bacon, some silky scrambled eggs and a glass of fresh-squeezed OJ.
For something savory, the pumpkin soup is velvety goodness topped with chives, pomegranates, croutons and creme fraiche. The pork chile verde is a flavor-packed, slightly spicy dish that will surely wake up those taste buds and is especially tasty when St. Francis’ homemade cornbread is dunked in it. Other savory favorites include the French onion burger, the roasted salmon superfood dish and the chicken salad sandwich.
To end on something sweet, sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake in a jar and chocolate stout cake grace St. Francis’ must-sample dessert menu. www.stfrancisaz.com.
