The Wigwam, in partnership with Hensley Brewing Company and Crescent Crown Distributing, invites guests to the third annual Beer, Bacon and BBQ Festival, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. The celebration will take place on the historic resort’s front lawn in Litchfield Park. With more than 40 memorable brews to sip and sample, craft beer lovers can enjoy a variety of styles and discover an assortment of boutique breweries and beers. This year, Rudy’s BBQ and Tom’s BBQ will join the Wigwam’s culinary team and serve up classic American barbecue in addition to modern twists on bacon dishes. Festival-goers can also indulge in live music from True to Life Band, dancing, fun prizes and more. Tickets are $30 per person which includes event entry, a commemorative glass and 15 beer tasting samples. Designated driver tickets are also available for purchase at $10 per person which includes entry and three non-alcoholic beverages. This is an adult-only event so guests must be 21 to purchase tickets and IDs will be checked when entering the festival. To make a night of it, enjoy a special event night room discount and save up to 35 percent. Advance room reservations are required with code FALLFEST.
For National Sandwich Day on Nov. 3, Capriotti’s Chandler and Mesa locations, will be offering its signature sandwich, The Bobbie for only $4. The sub is made with in-house slow-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce and homemade stuffing, with a hint of mayonnaise on a freshly baked roll.
Día de los Muertos, also known as the “Day of the Dead,” is a Mexican holiday on Nov. 2 celebrated by family and friends gathering together to pray for and remember loved ones who have passed. In honor of the day, Food City bakeries across the state is selling Day of the Dead bread, sold in family-size packages, starting this week.
On Monday, Oct. 31, from 2 p.m. to close, all Fired Pie locations will offer buy one entrée get the second half off. That’s any pizza or salad. All you have to do is ask for the deal.
Carlson Creek Vineyard is now offering happy hour at their new tasting room in Scottsdale. Offered every Wednesday through Friday from 2 to 6 p.m., happy hour includes $6 glasses of two featured wines plus $2 off any other glasses for Wine Society members only.
Sauce Pizza & Wine‘s (pictured) first Gilbert location is now open on the corner of Gilbert Road and Rivulon Boulevard, just north of Loop 202. In conjuction with the new opening, the menu at Sauce now features new items such as Caprese Skewers, a Sopressata & Asparagus Bruschetta and fresh signature pizzas featuring seasonal ingredients, like Brussels sprouts and figs.
At Eklectic Pie, enjoy the 11-inch Bacon Mac & Cheese Pizza for $5 until Oct. 31.
