Luna Grill is making its first move into the Valley with the opening of its newest restaurant in Avondale on August 20. The new location marks the Mediterranean restaurant brand’s third Arizona restaurant since entering the market in November 2025. Following openings in Mesa and Gilbert, the Avondale restaurant is bringing its fresh, made-to-order Mediterranean cuisine to West Valley diners for the first time.
“As we continue to grow, our goal is to make fresh, wholesome Mediterranean food more accessible to communities across the Valley,” CEO Rich Pinnella said. “Expanding into the West Valley is an important next step for us, and we’re excited to fuel the city of Avondale and give more families and fitness enthusiasts a convenient option for healthy, high-quality meals.”
Founded in San Diego in 2004 by husband-and-wife team Sean and Maria Pourteymour, Luna Grill has built its reputation around fresh cuisine and high-quality ingredients. The new restaurant will feature the brand’s refreshed design, including murals by a local artist, along with dine-in, takeout and digital ordering options.
Luna Grill’s proteins are marinated for 24 hours using family recipes before being grilled over an open flame, while gyro is shaved fresh to order. Sauces are made from scratch daily, adding to a menu filled with Mediterranean-inspired flavors.
Guests can choose from flame-grilled kabobs, signature bowls, wraps, salads and pitas, along with family meals and catering options. The menu is designed to offer plenty of ways to build a wholesome meal, whether diners are grabbing a quick lunch, picking up dinner for the family or planning a larger gathering.
