Golden Oak Barbecue & Taproom, one of the city’s most anticipated openings this year, rolled out a Happy Hour that pairs craft beverages with smoky comfort food. Available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and all day on Sundays, the menu offers $2 off drafts and cocktails and a lineup of smoky, savory barbecue bites.

The star among these offerings is the $6 pork belly taco, a handheld topped with Amarillo Gold BBQ sauce, salsa criolla, cotija, and a pop of green onion.
It hits every major note: salty, sweet, tangy, and deeply rich with smoke. For those who want to graze, Golden Oak also serves select appetizers for $10, including wings, chicharron, saddle jerky, and low country ribs, all crafted with the restaurant’s signature blend.
