Brunch would have to be my favorite meal of the day. You see, it is the combination of fancy breakfast foods–you know, the type of a.m. eats that don’t come in a wrapper or out of a cardboard box that we rarely have occasion to enjoy–and dessert. Yes, breakfast plus dessert equals the best meal. And now the Valley has yet another brunch option to enjoy: Scottsdale’s Roaring Fork has just debuted its new Sunday brunch menu. This Sunday, Nov. 14, is the brunch’s official start date, and it will be available through Mother’s Day 2011 for a sweet price of $19.
Roaring Fork’s Sunday brunch will be served from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and includes a buffet-style menu offering a bread table, a savory cold and hot item station, egg and carving tables and a tasty dessert station. On the menu, diners are offered the delicious American West-style eats that Roaring Fork is known for.
Menu items include:
Sticky cinnamon buns
Waffles with warm syrup and whipped cream
Candied jalapeno coleslaw
Apple walnut orzo salad
Classic eggs Benedict
Breakfast flat bred with spinach, tomatoes, eggs and white cheddar
Green chili pork stew
Biscuits and sausage gravy
Sage and cornbread stuffing
Scalloped potatoes and roasted chilies
Green chili cheese grits with cheddar and bacon
Pecan pie diamonds
Bananas foster bread pudding
Fruit tarts
If you work up a thirst at brunchtime, mimosas and Bloody Mary’s will be available for $5 each. 480.947.0795, www.roaringfork.com.
