Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame Chef Matt Carter and his partner, Brian Raab, of Broken Plate Hospitality are preparing to bring a new culinary concept to Scottsdale. Called Dash, the all-day dining destination and neighborhood market is slated to open in Fall 2026.
Inspired by Carter’s 17 years as a McCormick Ranch resident, Dash is built around a simple philosophy: “Dash in, dash out, morning, noon, and night.” In the kitchen, Carter is teaming up with Fat Ox pastry chef Lisa Graf to create an expansive, approachable menu celebrating everyday cravings.

Broken Plate Hospitality is behind Valley culinary destinations Zinc Bistro, The Mission and Fat Ox. With Dash, the team is taking a casual approach while bringing together some of Carter’s favorite culinary pursuits.
“Dash is a culmination of my personal culinary passions, and things I’ve wanted to do but haven’t fit at our other restaurants, like sandwich-making, Roman pizza, charcoal chicken, soft-serve, pizza pasta, all paired with Lisa’s incredible talent in the pastry kitchen,” Carter said.
Located at the southeast corner of Hayden Road and Mountain View, Dash is designed to transition throughout the day, moving from a morning bake shop to a relaxed evening hangout. The space will feature a cozy 12-seat interior with a custom vintage-style speaker system alongside a 40-seat patio. A curbside pickup area will also accommodate digital orders.

“This is our most approachable concept to date, giving us total freedom to adapt to the mood, moment, and daypart,” Raab said. “I can do tequila shots with you at The Mission and pour Negronis at Fat Ox, but Dash is the ultimate neighborhood hang to grab a coffee, catch up over lunch, or share a bottle of wine.”
The menu will begin with freshly baked pastries and sandwiches, then expand to include Roman-style pizzas, charcoal chicken, soft-serve ice cream and daily specials. A beverage program will follow the same all-day approach, with morning mimosas giving way to rotating wines and shareable cocktails.
Dash will also stock signature items from Chef Carter, including mac and cheese, chips and guacamole, and artisanal hand-shaped pastas. For more, visit letsgetdash.com or follow @letsgetdash.
