Arizona Office of Tourism Launches Sunshine to Share Social Media Campaign

With more than 300 sunny days a year and an average temperature of 70 degrees, we in Arizona have plenty of sunshine to go around. To celebrate on our wealth of warm days, the Arizona Office of Tourism has launched an expanded version of its Sunshine to Share social media campaign, which first took place last year targeting those in Chicago and New York.

“After the amazing response to last year’s Sunshine to Share campaign, we were excited to expand its reach. So we added four more weeks and tripled the number of cities we’re targeting to make sure even more people across the U.S. know a warm, sunny Arizona welcome is waiting for them.”

Debbie Johnson, Director, Arizona Office of Tourism

This year, the goal is the same with focus on Boston, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Milwaukee. The six-week campaign will “share” the sunshine through Instagram and Twitter in response to frigid residents’ social media posts. Real-time responses may include memes, jokes, food-delivery gift cards and tickets to Cactus League spring training.

Moreover, our cold-weather city friends will have the chance to experience the desert sun for real with a chance to win one of three Arizona adventures. Visitors can visit SunshinetoShare.com and enter to win a luxe resort stay in Phoenix, an REI Canyon Rim Adventure or a western-themed journey in Tombstone.
