Fall is bringing a fresh lineup of food, drinks and festive experiences to Carcara at Sheraton Phoenix Downtown. From a chef-led dinner highlighting the culinary traditions of Indigenous Arizona to a Halloween-themed painting event, the restaurant is offering several ways to celebrate throughout late October.
The festivities begin with the Chef Series Dinner on October 24 at 5 p.m. Priced at $85 per person, the five-course experience will be presented by Chef Sarah Moats and showcase Sonoran Desert flavors through Arizona-sourced and Indigenous-inspired ingredients. Each course is paired with a complementary cocktail.

The menu opens with Southwest Shrimp and Grits, featuring Ramona Farms Pima grits, jalapeño tomato jam and pickled cholla bud, paired with an Arizona Sunset cocktail made with Garrison Brothers HoneyDew Bourbon, mint syrup, bitters and Chandon Rosé. For dessert, guests will enjoy Sweet Corn Flan with cajeta, pecan date crumble and chiffon sippet, paired with a bourbon-based Coquito.
Those looking for a more hands-on seasonal outing can attend Carcara’s Halloween Paint & Sip on October 30 at 5 p.m. The $35-per-person experience combines bourbon, food and creativity for an evening suitable for both experienced painters and beginners.
Guests will enjoy a guided tasting of Angel’s Envy Bourbon from Sheraton Phoenix Downtown’s proprietary barrel, accompanied by seasonal bites prepared by the culinary team. Local artist Carmen Bradford will lead a step-by-step painting session featuring a Halloween-inspired design. All painting supplies are included, and participants will receive a signature welcome cocktail and a canvas to take home.

The Halloween festivities continue with cocktails when Carcara serves two specialty drinks daily from 4 to 10 p.m. through November 1. The Phoenix Cauldron combines Tito’s Vodka, Aperol, sparkling cider and prickly pear syrup, finished with cactus jelly, black salt and a theatrical smoky effect. Smoke of the Departed features Del Maguey Mezcal, orange bitters, agave and cherry juice, finished with mesquite smoke.
