Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas is gearing up to make an entrance into Paradise Valley, with reservations now open for stays beginning January 2026. The new resort aims to redefine what a Sonoran Desert getaway can be, blending wellness, design, and play in one of Arizona’s most popular destinations.
Tucked between Camelback and Mummy mountains and minutes from Old Town Scottsdale, it balances quiet desert calm with unbeatable access to the city’s dining, arts, and outdoor experiences.

The resort emerges from a sweeping transformation of the former Scottsdale Plaza Resort, reimagined by Trinity Investments and Partners Group. Set across 40 acres, the redesigned property will debut with 260 canyon guestrooms and casitas, with villas and residences to follow later in 2026. Acclaimed design firm Saguez & Dash brought a modern desert vision to life, infusing each space with textures, hues, and shapes inspired by shifting light and natural landscapes.
Guests can expect artful touches throughout, including a dramatic lobby loom installation and a rammed-earth poolside mural echoing the silhouette of Mummy Mountain.

Despite its impressive size, Miralina maintains an intimate feel thanks to a network of secluded alcoves, gardens, and gathering spaces. The resort invites travelers to set their own pace, whether that means rising with the sun, lingering over nourishing cuisine, or finding stillness in hidden corners of the grounds.
Wellness takes center stage through Desert Reveries: immersive experiences such as Canyon Echoes, a sound installation; Canyon Mists, a refreshing water feature; and a stargazing oculus framed by sculpted dune-like seating. Spa Miralina offers five treatment rooms, massage pavilions, a sauna, a cold plunge, and a state-of-the-art fitness pavilion that encourages guests to move with the landscape rather than away from it.

The culinary program is led by Chef Wes Avila, whose Baja-inspired flavors anchor the signature restaurant, Hecho Libre, developed in partnership with sbe. Executive Chef Stephen Jones, a James Beard semifinalist, oversees the day-to-day culinary operations across restaurants, events, and in-room dining. Guests can expect “pets always welcome” perks and a nightly social hour reimagined as a Sonoran sunset ritual.
The resort’s six pools offer everything from high-energy social spaces to family-friendly fun, highlighted by the three-tier Canyon Oasis Pool with its cabanas, lively bar, and playful design elements. With more than 50,000 square feet of event space, including the striking Horizon Pavilion, Miralina can host weddings, celebrations, and gatherings framed by panoramic mountain views.

“Paradise Valley is synonymous with distinctive luxury, and Kimpton Miralina is our opportunity to make our mark in one of the Southwest’s most coveted addresses,” said Greg Dickhens, Managing Partner, Trinity Investments. “Travelers are drawn to resorts that offer both immersion in nature and access to culture; trailheads at your doorstep and Old Town Scottsdale just moments away. We’re creating a property that’s deeply rooted in the desert, while also bringing a contemporary approach to how guests experience it.”

Managed by Highgate, a global leader in hospitality management, Kimpton Miralina is set to become one of the region’s most significant new openings. Reservations are officially open for January 2026 arrivals, with rates beginning at $359. For more, visit miralinaresort.com.
