AZF: What is your “life motto”?
Every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and become a better version of yourself. Keep going!
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?
I used to be a teacher and thought that was my calling in life. After my husband passed away, I realized that life is too precious to not pursue my creative passions. I started small and sought guidance from the best mentors who taught me the ins and outs of running a business, reaching for ideal clients, and embracing my own worthiness as an expert in my field.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
I feel best supported by my community of strong business-minded women, family cheering me on, and a continual growth of knowledge that fuels the belief in my potential and equips me with the tools I need to thrive.
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
I have a belief that I cannot fail, I can only learn. So when challenges come up, I slow down, take a step back and look for the lesson. Then I keep going. When it gets really hard, I remember that my kids are watching…so I keep going!
AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
I wake up before sunrise and journal with a cup of coffee somewhere with breathtaking views. Before my kids gets up, I head out to run a trail and come home to snuggly kids on the couch who have already made their own breakfast and cleaned the kitchen.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
My best piece of advice would be to find a mentor. There is only so much that you can learn from courses or trial and error. Mentors give so much invaluable information through their experiences. You will get to witness the way they operate and interact with people which cannot be taught in a course. Great mentors also offer non-verbal cues that will lead you to confidence in yourself and the belief that you can achieve your dreams through calculated action.
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
I love entrepreneurship because it fuels my creativity and allows me to build my dreams into reality. It’s not just about personal success; it’s about setting an example for my kids, showing them that they can pursue their passions and achieve their goals. Additionally, being a part of a vibrant community of ambitious women inspires me every day, as we uplift and empower each other to make a positive impact.

About the Foundress
The Foundress is a creative community of female entrepreneurs established by Coley Arnold.
