The Mirabel Club Announces $6 Million Construction Project

The Mirabel Club has broken ground on its 2020 Master Facilities Plan construction project, a $6 million, member-driven and -approved project to renovate and expand its Desert Lodge Clubhouse and facilities. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.

Mirabel’s construction project will cover five major areas within the Club’s operations. The clubhouse itself will see a new indoor and outdoor peninsula bar added, with full glass sliding walls and amazing down valley views (including the city lights of Scottsdale and Phoenix), as well as increased casual dining space, outdoor patio dining space with additional fire pits, a private dining room and two new glass walled wine rooms, per the press release. The Club’s commercial kitchen will be enlarged to handle additional dining needs, and upgraded to increase food service efficiency and capacity.

The fitness center will double in size (adding 2,400 square feet), with dedicated areas for stretching, additional free weight equipment, Pilates and other classes.  Locker rooms will be updated as part of the plan, and additional space will be available for more salon and spa services.  Lastly, the Tennis & Racquet Center will be expanded to include four new pickleball courts, as that sport continues to grow in popularity among members and prospective members.

PHX Architecture is the project’s architecture firm, while A.R. Mays, an Arizona-based construction company specializing in managing commercial projects throughout the Southwest region of the country, will act as general contractor.  Vallone Design will act as the design team on the project. Greey/Pickett will lead on the landscape design efforts.
