The Mirabel Club Announces New Executive Chef

Starting September, The Mirabel Golf Club will welcome Jon Hearnsberger as new executive chef.

“We’re convinced that he [Hearnsberger] is the best person to elevate the quality and consistency of our food and lead our Culinary Team into the future,” says Marcie Mills, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at Mirabel Golf Club, in a statement.

Hearnsberger comes highly recommended from The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, where he’s served as the Executive Chef since December of 2018. His most recent accolades in Club + Resort Business Magazine ranked his culinary operation at the Bridges as number 30 in the country.

The GM/ COO of the Bridges stated: “Chef Jon will get the Members very excited about food and drive revenue.” He brings with him 20 years of experience as an Executive Chef, including several years of experience as owner and Chef as Fable Restaurant as well as Woodhouse Fish Co., where he played an essential part running two high-volume locations while developing a third.

An Arkansas native, Hearnsberger started cooking professionally in 1987 at the Tabard Inn in Washington, DC, which had its own farm that supplied the kitchen with organically-grown produce and herbs. This experience, combined with tending fruit and vegetable gardens on his grandmother’s farm, has inspired Hearnsberger to create food using the freshest, most seasonal and sustainable local and organic food. His commitment is to bring the very best and freshest ingredients together in traditional and creative ways to showcase the flavors of the season.
