Using the BOSU BALL!

HAPPY SUNDAY! With my latest Fox news segment I wanted to be able to provide an easy in the gym or at home workout that you can perform only using one piece of equipment–the BOSU ball. The half moon shaped stability ball is a piece of equipment that can truly do so much. The reason I love the BOSU ball is because most of us lack stability, balance and core strength….and that is exactly what a Bosu ball workout can provide.

You don’t need tons of fancy equipment….all you need is first and foremost, motivation,  as well as resources to know what exercises the Bosu ball is capable of. I went through 4 exercises in my news segment but the Bosu ball has countless number of exercises that you can do.

1. Burpees– holding the Bosu ball in your hands, the ball side facing down, press the ball and then bring to ground, perform the burpee and back up and repeat. – 3 sets of 15-20 reps

2. Stability squat- standing on top of the ball, feet a tad closer than shoulder width apart, squat and back up trying to keep your balance. — 3 sets of 20

3. Planks- forearms on ball and hold in a plank – 3 sets of 30-45 seconds

4. Knee drive- with ball side on the ground and flat side facing up, holding each side evenly, get in a pushup position and drive knee alternating each side.
