Gilbert’s fitness scene is getting a serious upgrade with the arrival of Lucky Penny Lagree – the first boutique Lagree studio to open in the East Valley. Located on Higley Road, this new studio is more than just a place to work out; it’s a community-driven space designed to change the way people move.
Unlike traditional workouts, Lucky Penny Lagree offers something totally unique: a low-impact, high-intensity format known as Lagree. Built on slow, controlled movements performed on state-of-the-art Megaformer machines, Lagree delivers full-body strength, endurance, and core training with no wasted movement – and yes, you will feel the shakes.
“This isn’t Pilates. It’s not HIIT. Lagree is its own thing, and it’s magical,” Founder and Owner McKenna Beahan said. “I started Lucky Penny Lagree because I truly love this workout and what it’s done for me—physically, mentally and emotionally. I built this from the ground up, as a proud woman-owned business, to share that love with others. All I have ever wanted to do was make others feel good about themselves.”
Classes are 45 minutes long, maxed at just 12 participants per session to create a small, high-energy atmosphere where personalized attention is part of the experience. Whether you’re brand new to fitness or a seasoned athlete, Lucky Penny welcomes everyone. No experience required, no pressure, just progress.
As a Gilbert local and passionate entrepreneur, McKenna designed Lucky Penny as more than a studio; it’s a mindset. “This is a space where you can show up for yourself, move with intention, and feel strong. This isn’t just a business for me; it’s a labor of love,” she said. “The luckiest thing you can do is bet on yourself.”
Lucky Penny hosted a grand opening party on July 11, but the soft opening began July 1 with classes already filling up – and fast. First‑time clients can jump in with a $20 intro class; a $30 single‑class pass is perfect for drop‑ins. An 8‑class monthly pack is $220 and the Unlimited Membership is $250.
All classes are conducted on state‑of‑the‑art Megaformer Pro machines and guided by certified instructors to ensure maximum results and minimal stress.
