The RAV4 Hybrid has been with us for over 4 years now. Today, every new model is equipped with AWD. In addition, ever since the big redesign in 2019, they’ve never looked better. The Hybrid model being an especially attractive option given its superior acceleration and fuel economy over its non-hybrid counterparts. It’s become such a popular choice in fact, that its even outselling the Prius.

Since its aesthetic overhaul in 2019, fewer changes arise in 2020. Android Auto functions have been programed into the infotainment center. The Limited trim gets an 11-speaker JBL audio system as well. Even with just a few alterations, the RAV4 is still fresh and new feeling. LED lights all around with sharp lines and big 18” five-spoke wheels look great. Better yet is the black finish they come in. Perfectly pairing to the black contrasting roof, side skirts and other trim found on the RAV4 body.

Climb aboard to find heated SofTex seats, which combine leatherette and fabric, pulled together with attractive blue stitching. Though it seats five, you’ll find the back seat a little tight if you’re on the tall end of the size spectrum. For average sized adults though, it’s surprisingly spacious. So is cargo capacity. A leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob help elevate the look and feel of the cabin. A big 8” touchscreen display takes it another step further.

There continues to be a lot to love about the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. A handsome exterior, polished interior, brisk acceleration, standard AWD and 40 mpg combined. It’s no wonder sales continue to climb, leaving other Hybrids like the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V challenged to respond. The only downside to picking one up now is that you could’ve waited a year for the RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid to come out. A vehicle we will all be excited to learn more about as news unfolds.
