If you’ve ever wanted to take class from a supermodel who’s also a CEO and entrepreneur, here’s your chance. Model and media mogul Tyra Banks will be co-lecturing a class on personal branding at Stanford University’s business school in spring 2017.
I can’t wait to turn it up Tyra-style at The Fierce Up: @tyrabeauty LIVE + Model Search in Vegas August 22! I’ll be sharing tons of beauty & biz knowledge, and we’re gonna party, too! Plus, I’m looking for some NEW FACES for #TYRABeauty for our 2017 campaigns at the TYRA Beauty Model Search that same night. Show us what you got and you could be werkin’ it with me on a photoshoot for my beauty biz! All sizes, heights, shapes, baby! Link in bio.
The two-week course titled “Project You: Building and Extending your Personal Brand,” will teach graduate business students how to build, broadcast, maintain and protect their personal brand.
Stanford professor and former television executive Allison Kluger tapped Banks to co-teach the class after hearing her speak at a Stanford Women in Business event.
According to the course description, Kluger and Banks “will help students create their own specific image to support their brand, teach them how to navigate on-air exposure, and help them create a long-term strategy for how to promote their personal brand across several media platforms. Within a highly interactive learning environment, image transformations, live broadcasting of presentations at a television station, live streaming of portions of the class on Facebook Live, and YouTube recordings of presentations will all be part of the assignments and requirements.”
Before class begins in May, the 25 lucky students will have to create a minute-and-a-half video introducing themselves and explain what they want their personal brand to be, before sharing their honed personal brand to the public via TV and social media at the end of the program.
