Spice Boutique: Redefining Girlhood, Community, and Style in Old Town

Located in Old Town, Spice Scottsdale is a shop co-founded by Anjalee and Luisa, two former paralegals and alumni of Arizona State University. The women-owned shop opened its doors in February 2024 with a bold mission: to create a space where fashion, fun, and female connection collide. The idea for the shop was born from a gap the founders saw in Scottsdale’s retail scene.

“We noticed there wasn’t a place that felt both elevated and approachable, something that could cater to a group of bachelorettes visiting for the weekend or a college student looking for a cool gift,” Luisa said. What they created is a boutique that’s thoughtful and playful, blending curated retail with immersive experiences and a strong sense of community.

At the core of Spice Scottsdale is the Spice Social Club: a rotating series of in-store events designed to bring girls together through creativity and shared experience. From charm bar parties and “build your own bikini” workshops to DIY jewelry nights, each gathering feels like a celebration of girlhood, self-expression, and togetherness. The events have drawn everyone from sorority sisters to bridal parties, quickly making the boutique a go-to space for connection and fun.

“We wanted the store to feel like more than just a place to shop,” Anjalee said. “It’s a place where people come to create memories.”

The founders have established meaningful partnerships with local favorites, including Poppi, Jojo’s Shake Bar, and Princess Polly, as well as with ASU sororities such as Alpha Phi and Delta Zeta. In keeping with their commitment to community impact, Spice recently hosted a donation drive for Puente AZ, supporting immigrant families throughout the Valley.

One of the boutique’s most beloved features is its interactive charm bar, where guests can handcraft necklaces, bracelets, waist chains, and bag charms using an array of gold-plated, handmade charms. It’s a DIY experience that’s creative, sentimental, and perfect for groups looking to make something unique and is especially popular with bridal parties and girls’ day outings.

Beyond the charm bar, the store offers a rotating selection of gifts, accessories, and handmade goods that reflect the founders’ eclectic, culturally rich style. Each item is chosen to spark joy and connection, whether it’s a quirky statement bag, a bold pair of earrings, or a thoughtful hostess gift.

In 2025, Spice Scottsdale unveiled its first in-house swimwear line: Spice Market: Tierra de Devis. The collection is a visual love letter to heritage, storytelling, and body inclusivity. Drawing from Indian and Mexican aesthetics, the pieces feature rich colors, bold prints, and artisanal details designed for the modern girl who wants to look good and feel seen.

Every swimsuit is sustainably made, with sizing that reflects real bodies and design that transcends fleeting trends. Whether it’s a destination bachelorette or a weekend music festival, Tierra de Devis is meant to move with you, express who you are, and tell a story along the way.

“This line is our heart,” Anjalee said. “It honors where we come from and where we’re going. We wanted every piece to feel like a little piece of power.”

Spice Scottsdale is equal parts creative playground, community hub, and fashion-forward shop. It’s a space where every girl can feel seen, inspired, and celebrated. Learn more at spicescottsdale.com.
