Just when you thought things couldn’t get crazier than macaron rainbow hair, the latest hair-coloring trend takes a cue from the iridescent color gradations found in crystalized rock.
Yes, you heard that right – geode hair is a very real thing. With hues ranging from amethyst to rose quartz, the rock-inspired color look is actually easier to achieve than it may seem. As opposed to rainbow hair, the geode look doesn’t require hair to be bleached. Instead, hair is lightened and colored with only one or two shades that are blended by hand. The result is a mystic look with color that builds and fades back to the natural hair color.
