Title: co/owner and manager at CasaMia Cucina Italiana

Married/Single: single

Kids: Charlotte, 11 and Francesco, 9

City you live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes…

wake up, make breakfast and lunch for the kids to take to school (like risotto with asparagus , mascarpone and parmigiana or chicken fried rice). Of course a simple bagel and cream cheese does not do it for them. Once the kids are off to school then it’s work out and lunch somewhere with a friend. I then pick the kids up from school and then it’s off to the restaurant!

I was born…

in Vila Velha, a small island off the coast of Espirito Santo, Brazil.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the blue skies.

I’m listening to…

LP, a brand new very famous American singer who’s only known in Europe so far. Love her!

My family…

my two kids drive me crazy, being a single mom is definitely not easy, but I can’t imagine my life without them. I have a very close relationship with my mom and dad. I’ve always been able to talk to them about everything and I really like that kind of relationship between parent and child. I think there should always be that kind of open mindedness between the two.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

my two grandmothers.

One thing I cannot live without…

my CuraProx Swiss made toothbrush.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a fashion designer.

I’m inspired by…

strong business women.

The one person who motivates me is…

me, myself and I.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

for every living soul to have a fair chance at life. NO wars and NO hunger.

The perfect day would be…

waking up in Positano and spending the day on a boat along the Amalfi coast.

My first job was…

babysitter. Probably like every other girl out there.

My favorite escape…

California. The beach is always the best therapy for me.

My life…

is interesting.

I’m currently working on…

a cookbook.

Always…

have ambition.

Never…

give up.

Favorite Quote…

it’s in French: ‘Le premier pas pour avoir ce que vous voulez, c’est d’avoir le courage de quitter ce que vous ne voulez plus’. It means: ‘The first step to achieve what you want, is to leave what you don’t want anymore’.

Biggest Dream…

to open restaurants in more cities around the United States so I could move around with my children and experience different places.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

bad table manners.
