Local hospitality pros are reshaping the way restaurants and hotels furnish their spaces with the launch of Social Design Supply Co., a new Scottsdale-based e-commerce platform designed specifically for the industry’s unique needs. The company is the brainchild of three Valley women whose careers have long intersected across Arizona’s dining, design, and branding scenes.
Together, they’re creating what they describe as a more innovative, more stylish solution for operators searching for furniture that can stand up to the demands of daily service without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. The venture is led by Owner Nicole Herman, an award-winning hospitality designer; Emily Ganem, a Valley restaurant owner and commercial construction executive; and Sarah Bell, a hospitality branding strategist.

With decades of combined experience designing, building, and branding restaurants across the region, the trio understands the challenges operators face when outfitting their spaces. That perspective was the spark behind Social Design Supply Co., a platform created by hospitality designers for hospitality spaces.
“After years of designing restaurants, I kept seeing the same challenge: operators with great taste struggling to find furniture that looked incredible but could actually handle the wear and tear of daily restaurant life,” Herman said. “We created this platform to give restaurateurs a trusted, design-driven source for furnishings that meet both aesthetic and safety standards.”

The site launched with more than a hundred curated pieces sourced from vendors known for balancing beauty with resilience. Prices range from $200 to $10,000, and each item is selected for its durability, performance, and cohesive style. The goal is to make it easier for owners to build spaces that feel intentional and inviting while still meeting the strict requirements of commercial use.
Herman’s portfolio includes shaping the interiors of many of the Valley’s most recognizable restaurants, including Bourbon & Bones, Sparrow, and Pinyon. Social Design Supply Co. is meant to build on that legacy while also giving the rising Phoenix hospitality scene a national platform.

“Our careers were built in Arizona’s hospitality scene, and this brand is a celebration of that community – the designers, builders, and chefs who make it special,” Herman said. “There’s something exciting about creating a national platform that’s proudly Phoenix-born.”
The company is also looking ahead, preparing collaborations with local makers that will highlight the region’s craftsmanship. Upcoming releases include a boutique tabletop line and a custom host stand collection slated for Spring 2026. While the business is currently online only, plans for a Scottsdale showroom are already underway. By emphasizing quality, authenticity, and longevity, the brand hopes to redefine what restaurant and hospitality sourcing can look like. For more: socialdesignsupply.com or @socialdesignsupplyco.
