The Italian Festival Returns to Scottsdale for 10th Anniversary

Scottsdale’s Old Town Waterfront will once again transform into a lively celebration of Italian culture this October as the Italian Association of Arizona marks the 10th anniversary of its beloved Italian Festival.

Taking place Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event invites guests to stroll La Strada del Vino—“the street of wine”—and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine, more than 30 wines, artisan vendors and live entertainment. Food lovers can look forward to bites from local favorites like Pomo Pizzeria, Marcellino Ristorante and Mamma Lucy, alongside newcomers Luna by Giada and Élephante. Festivalgoers can also shop Italian oils, ceramics, jewelry, handbags and handcrafted goods from curated merchants throughout the weekend.

In honor of the milestone year, Salvatore Ferragamo Jr.—grandson of the legendary designer and owner of Tuscan wineries Il Borro and Pinino—will be a featured guest. A Ferragamo wine station will be open all weekend, and Ferragamo Jr. will make a special appearance on Sunday afternoon. He’ll also host a Sunday morning meet-and-greet at the Ferragamo boutique in Scottsdale Fashion Square, followed by an intimate seven-course dinner and wine pairing at Virtù Honest Craft the next day on Monday, Oct. 27.

“We are pleased to welcome fashion leader and wine owner Salvatore Ferragamo Jr. to the festival,” says Italian Association of Arizona Founder Dario Soldan. “As part of the iconic designer family, Mr. Ferragamo Jr.’s attendance highlights the strong unity of the Italian community, and we look forward to celebrating our wonderful culture in Scottsdale.”

The festivities continue along the waterfront with cooking demos, musical performances and even a group of flag twirlers from Asti, Italy, while children can enjoy face painting and balloon making. Tickets start at $15 in advance ($25 at the door), with wine-focused packages available that include tastings and commemorative keepsakes. Children aged 12 and under receive free entry to the festival.
