We have long been fans on The Living Room wine café & lounge (and its five locations throughout the state, including a newbie at Gainey Ranch which just opened in the fall). Now, The Living Room has introduced a super-cool sister restaurant and neighbor in Downtown Ocotillo, LA SALA Tequila Cantina. And good news, Scottsdalites: LA SALA Gainey Ranch soft opens Thursday, Feb. 2, at 4 p.m. with an official opening set for Feb. 13.
LA SALA uses authentic recipes to create from-scratch and mesquite-grilled flavors of Mexico and Latin America. Menu standouts include Latin Caesar salad with dried corn and cotija, table-side prepared guacamole, Yucatan posole, pollo ramen, chipotle brisket, and a selection of daily specials. To complement the dining lineup are award-winning margaritas and mescal cocktails. For dessert, the homemade churros are a must.
The Spanish mission-style, 2,400-sq.-ft. restaurant has a contemporary, Mid-Century-eclectic feel. LA SALA is open at 11 a.m., Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Brunch is served on the weekend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m
