With a ceiling and patio decorated with ivy vine, Mill Ave.’s newest addition, Dierk Bentley’s Whiskey Row, provides each guest with both an indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment experience in its hybrid restaurant bar turned concert venue appealing to the young modern country crowd.
It’s a relaxing and comfortable time whether they’re enjoying a drink at the bar, listing to a live concert, or enjoying a sit-down meal. One doesn’t always associate high-rated food with the bar scene. And one especially may not at a well-known country bar. However, Riot Entertainment’s main focus for this Tempe location is actually the food.
Being a focused-food concept, Whiskey Row has placed intentional detail on the main courses and food concepts while ordering.
Unique to the venue on the drink menu, sip on one of four cocktails or house wine that they hold on tap. Keeping with the culture and concept of supporting local, they also hold almost 50 local craft beers on tap.
To start munching, there is an array unique appetizers. To start lightly, the Kale & Quinoa Salad with shredded kale, mixed greens, rainbow quinoa, red grapes tossed in lemon vinaigrette and drizzled with herb feta dressing is a popular favorite.
For an entrée, try the melt-in-your-mouth Turkey Pretzel Melt with oven-roasted turkey breasted, melted white cheddar, hand cut slaw, and thousand island mustard. Or, try the signature burger that you can’t leave without tasting, the Whiskey Burger adorned with whiskey barbecue sauce, roasted jalapenos, crispy bacon, melted cheddar, on 100 percent certified Angus beef.
For a specialty, with it’s own unique spin that you won’t find anywhere else, the Chicken and Waffles are a must try with fried chicken breast served with a white cheddar and green tomato cornmeal waffle, drizzled with honey and topped with pickled jalapenos.
