If it has been a while since your last visit to Dave & Buster’s at Tempe Marketplace, this summer is the perfect time to enjoy its recent renovation and new menu with the whole family–in air-conditioning, of course.
Before embarking on hours on the arcade floor (Dave & Buster’s just welcomed a new Rampage game), fuel up with Dave & Buster’s new appetizer sampler plate, featuring some of the greatest hits from the starter lineup. The plate has enough golden tater tots, quesadillas, chicken wings, pretzel dogs and pepperoni pizza pull-aparts for a family of four or five, easily. (The pretzel dogs and ooey gooey, cheesy pepperoni pizza pull-aparts were table favorites.)
A standout from the new menu are the chicken and waffle sliders. The crispy hand-breaded chicken is tossed in a sweet and spicy campfire sauce (the tater tots were extra delicious when dipped in a side of the sauce) and topped with applewood-smoked bacon, which is then served on mini vanilla-accented Belgian waffles. Each slider is warm, crispy and sweet–a big hit with both the kids and kids-at-heart at the table. The new garlicky green beans are the perfect guilt-free side to the comfort food feast.
To wash down the new eats, the little ones sipped up the Grape Candy Chill, a frosty drink of Monin Wild Grape and Sprite topped with gummy worms candy (what kid wouldn’t adore that?) while Mom and Dad enjoyed the strawberry-watermelon margarita, a super-sweet, refreshing concoction with strawberry-flavored ice cubes.
