ZINGARA Coffee Shop, Market & Wine Bar is Coming to Scottsdale

ZINGARA Coffee Shop, Bespoke Market and Wine Bar, a new high-end concept by longtime Arizona restaurateur and entrepreneur Hera Ambrosio, is bringing a taste of southern Europe to Scottsdale. Set to open mid-summer, ZINGARA will serve small bites and take-away meals inspired by the cuisine of Spain, southern France and Italy, as well as coffee, European wine and luxury goods.

Meaning “gypsy woman” in Italian, ZINGARA pays homage to Ambrosio’s own travel experiences in southern Europe with a clean, feminine and modern design. As someone who has been a part of the Arizona food industry for 25 years, Ambrosio is proud to bring the very European style of slowing down and coming together over a bite and a drink to the Scottsdale area.

“I’ve always been inspired by the food and atmosphere of southern Europe,” says Ambrosio. “I wanted to create an upscale space where people can come together and enjoy the highest quality products. ZINGARA is a coffee shop, bespoke market and wine bar but it’s so much more than the items we sell—it’s also about the beautiful environment we will provide.”

Featuring a distinct ambiance designed by Ambrioso herself, the new eatery is complete with floor-to-ceiling windows on the majority of the walls that fill the upscale space with natural light, while whitewashed oak, bronze accents and custom shelving provide a sophisticated feel. The space also includes two large patios perfect for al fresco dining and offers Wi-Fi and multiple outlets to create a suitable environment to work remotely while enjoying a cup of coffee or bite to eat.

ZINGARA will serve coffee from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., in partnership with local coffee crafter Infusion Coffee and Tea, with breakfast items and pastries served until 11 a.m. The eatery will offer coffee classics, like macchiatos, cappuccinos and lattes, as well as specialty drinks, such as Golden Milk made with turmeric and a Pistacchietto, an espresso made with Bronte pistachio paste and homemade whipped cream.

A variety of grab-and-go sandwiches and salads made with a European twist will be available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., including the mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich and the classic French Niçoise salad.

From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. ZINGARA will transform into a wine bar, serving primarily Italian, French and California wines, exclusive global beers and sipping liquors, as well as small plates to share featuring local, high-quality beef from Terra Farms. The evening bites menu will feature a modern take on European classics like bone marrow, steak tartare, croquettes and a Sacher torte, while visitors can also choose to build their own cheese and salumi board using products like roasted porchetta, camembert and golden fleece Manchego.

For those who want to make European-inspired dishes at home, ZINGARA will also be home to a bespoke market selling pasta, olive oil, Vermont maple syrup and other one-of-a-kind food items, including Terra Farms Wagyu beef, high-quality produce, as well as luxury home goods.

ZINGARA will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and located at 11475 N. 136th St. in Scottsdale. For more information, visit zingaramarket.com.
