Join Gayle’s Chocolates as the company unveils its new chocolate store with its first-ever Vortex Crunch Event. Be the first to experience and taste the deliciousness on Friday, Sept. 20, from noon to 3 p.m. at Gayle’s flagship store in Cottonwood. Come taste and learn all about Gayle’s chocolate specialties and have a bite of the signature new chocolate creation, the Vortex Crunch (pictured). A sweet and salty combination, the Vortex Crunch is loaded with rice krispies, dried Michigan cherries, almonds, cashews, toffee, glazed orange peel, toasted coconut and a layer of semisweet drizzled chocolate. Sips of wine will be featured to complement the sweet treats.

Do you have a sweet tooth? There’s never been a better time to indulge it. Stop by Zinburger and order up Chase’s Shake (a Butterfinger shake), or any of the delish shakes, from Sept. 20 to Sept. 29 because the restaurant is donating 100 percent of the proceeds from all of its shakes during that time frame to Lock in Hope, an organization that creates care packages for siblings of pediatric cancer patients.

Sprouts Harvest Sale is happening now through Wednesday, Sept. 25. Yup, that means all Sprouts Brand Pumpkin and Fall Flavor products are 25 percent off! Our faves: Toasted Pumpkin Loops cereal, Maple Pumpkin butter (swirl it in Greek yogurt!), Cranberry Pumpkin Crisps and Pumpkin Spice Black Tea.

On National Pepperoni Pizza Day on Sept. 20, Villa Italian Kitchen will offer guests buy-one, get-one-free slices at participating locations.

Provision Coffee Bar is dishing out its new pumpkin spice latte soft serve ice cream, now available through the holiday season. Guests can even amp it up with a Pumpkin Spice Soft Serve Nitro Float for $6.50 or a Pumpkin Spice Soft Serve Affogato for $5.

Sept. 20 is National Grenache Day, and Carlson Creek Vineyard is celebrating this red wine lovers holiday with the release of its 2017 Grenache at both its  Cottonwood and Scottsdale tasting rooms. On Friday, Sept. 20, Carlson Creek will be hosting a release party in Cottonwood, featuring a complimentary taste of the 2017 Grenache, along with light bites and live music. And on Saturday, Sept. 21., there will be a release party in Scottsdale, featuring a complimentary taste of the new Grenache, along with light bites and one-on-one time with the winemaker. 

Phoenix Public Market Café is celebrating the new school year with a free “Welcome Back” event for students. On Saturday, Sept. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m., ASU students can head to the patio for a buffet-style dinner showcasing some of the restaurant’s staples like The Mezzie with hummus, pickled cauliflower, quinoa, tabbouleh and Noble toast; Roasted Vegetable Bowl with mushrooms, charred broccoli, caramelized onions, sweet potato, tri-colored quinoa and tahini dressing and Two Wash Ranch Half Rotisserie Chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, among others. The dinner will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Throughout the year, the Café offers students a 20 percent discount when they show their school identification at the counter.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m.,  guests are invited to enjoy a special five-course scotch-pairing dinner at Match Restaurant and Lounge featuring scotch from Glenmorangie. Each pour will be paired with a thoughtfully crafted dish designed by Match Chef Orlando Parker to fully enhance the flavors of the featured scotch whiskies, and a scotch specialist will be on-hand to educate diners about the sips being enjoyed. Cost is $78 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and tickets can be purchased via www.bit.ly/2L8doQ7

Taco Guild has rolled out a brand-new Sunday brunch menu with must-tries like Fried Tamale Cubano Egg Benedict, Lobster Avocado Toast, Avocado Breakfast Nachos, Coconut French Toast and many other creative a.m. eats. Gospel band Sugar Thieves will be performing every Sunday in September during brunch.
