Costco’s “May is for Miracles” campaign aims to raise $1 million for Phoenix Children’s Hospital during the month of May. To help, make a donation of any amount at the register anytime you shop at Costco during the month of May. Funds raised from this campaign have a direct impact on patient care and provide hope and healing for Phoenix Children’s patients and their families.

In honor of National BBQ Day on Thursday, May 16, diners at both Liberty Station American Tavern and Smokehouse locations can enjoy 25 percent off any BBQ plate of their choice all day long. (Offer is valid for dine-in and to-go orders, excluding happy hour.)

In honor of National Burger Month, Morton’s The Steakhouse is offering a special feature with gorgonzola, Nueske’s thick-cut bacon and bibb lettuce with roasted garlic aioli and red onion marmalade on a brioche bun. The entrée is accompanied by matchstick fries and paired with a glass of Michael David “Earthquake” Zinfandel for $36. The burger month special is going on now until May 31.

Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails is dishing out 16 new tropical cocktails (a k a perfect patio cocktails!) and a must-try new lunch menu perfect for the Valley’s warmer weather. Season-friendly dishes include citrus-cured roasted beet toast (pictured) with herb goat cheese, frisee, candied pecans, radish and pomegranate seeds and the Schreiner’s hot dog with pickled celery, bloomed mustard seeds, house pickle, truffle aioli and a Noble bun, among other tempting eats.

Morning Squeeze celebrates National Mimosa Day on Thursday, May 16! Get a mimosa flight for only $3.99 at its Old Town Scottsdale and Downtown Tempe locations. The flight includes three mimosa flavors: orange juice, pomegranate and hibiscus.

On Monday, May 13 (National Hummus Day!), guests of Tres Tempe can receive an order of AZ Tepary Bean Hummus for free.

On May 9, Facebook launched birthday stories globally, which is a new type of story where everyone in your community can add digital birthday cards, photos or videos to a story to celebrate your big day. To celebrate this launch, Facebook is partnering with bakeries across the country to give away free treats on May 10–including right here in Phoenix. Locals can head to Tammie Coe Cakes on May 10 any time from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to enjoy one of 500 free cupcakes in honor of the launch. (It doesn’t need to be your birthday to join the fun.)
