Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is celebrating National Sandwich Day by offering guests with the CAPAddicts Rewards App free upgrades from small (nine-inch) to medium size (12-inch) on all sandwiches ordered on Nov. 3 at participating locations.
Doughbird Pizza & Rotisserie is now offering a taste of fall with its new Grateful Plate (pictured) available now through Dec. 10. For $19, guests can enjoy a Grateful Plateful serving of half a rotisserie chicken, rosemary stuffing, gravy, roasted Brussels sprouts and fresh cranberry, and $2 from every plate will be donated to St. Mary’s Food Bank.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar, in partnership with Arizona Animal Welfare League, will host a Yappy Hour event at the Phoenix restaurant on Nov. 9 from 3 to 6:30 p.m.. The Yappy Hour eats and drinks include $5 craft drafts, wine, signature sips, all French fries and the seasonal burger special. Hopdoddy will donate up to 20 percent of proceeds to the Arizona Animal Welfare League. The special featured at this event and, as a special Nov. 8 until Nov. 22, the Thanksgiving Turducken Burger is made with a turducken patty, stuffing bun, cranberry sauce, fried green beans and turkey gravy.
Voila French Bistro in Scottsdale will host a special wine-paired three-course dinner, with the main dish being chicken wellington with porcini mushrooms and napa cabbage stuffing, on Sunday, Nov. 5. The dinner is $65 per person. Reservations required by calling 480.614.5600.
TEXAZ Grill is offering all-you-can-eat TEXAZ Red Chili for just $7.50 Saturday, Nov. 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (no sharing, to-go or doggie bags). Also on Nov. 4, TEXAZ Grill will be serving up $3 Shiner Bock beers from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The deal is in honor of the International Championship Chili Cookoff in Texas, for which owner/chef at TEXAZ Grill Steve Freidkin is a judge.
Between Nov. 1 and Nov. 15, if you donate $10 to St. Mary’s Food Bank, Spinato’s will give you get a free dessert.
If you are out celebrating the Grand Prix of Scottsdale this weekend, stop by Marcellino Ristorante as the restaurant will host a patio extension (it will reach the street!) and homemade pasta, wine and beer will be served for $5 each until 3:30 p.m. (Patio opens at 10:30 a.m.)
Bacon, Blues & Brews is slated for 12 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at Founders Park in Queen Creek, with this year’s celebration supporting the East Valley Firefighters Charities. In addition to plenty of bacon-y bites, this family-friendly festival also features a kids’ zone with games and fanfare for younger attendees, while a bacon-eating contest, a cornhole tournament and live performances by the likes of Augustin Stereo, the Moonshine Voodoo Band and Thermal Blues Express, among others, offer entertainment opportunities for folks of all ages. Tickets are available for $8 during presale and $12 at the door, and a limited number of VIP passes are also available for $65. Kids 12 and under may enter for free.
To celebrate its one-year anniversary, Fresko will offer a free appetizer or dessert with the purchase of a salad, sandwich or entrée on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
On National Sandwich Day Friday, Nov. 3, Chompie’s will give away free sandwiches for a year (one sandwich each month) to a lucky customer at each of their five Valley locations.  Customers who dine at any Chompie’s restaurant this week will be eligible to win. Rita’s Italian Ice & Creamery of Chandler celebrates its grand opening Nov. 4. The grand opening will include $1 regular Italian ice, $2 gelatis and $3 cool combos. Beginning at 11 a.m., the first 50 customers in line will receive free Italian Ice for a year.
