Thirsty Lion Pub and Grill at Tempe Marketplace is hosting its official Arizona Beer Week five-course beer-pairing dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The dinner is $50 and includes braised pork loin, bacon-wrapped prawns and more–all with beer pairings.
On Feb. 17, downtown Litchfield Park will host Flavors of the West, a new festival with the goal of raising $25,000 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. The event includes live music, cooking demos, a VIP area, a kid’s zone and tastings from Amuse Bouche, Betty’s Nosh, Caballero Grill, Eest Asian Bistro, Flavors of Louisiana Gas Light Inn, Gigino’s, Gourmet Command Center (food truck), India Garden, Max’s Sports Restaurant, Rubio’s (West Valley locations), Sandbar Peoria, Soleil at The Renaissance, Soul to Soul Café, TAPS, Thai Orchid Garden and Verrado Grille.
Central Bistro in Phoenix and Local Bistro in Scottsdale will be creating a specialty dessert using Samoas just in time for Girl Scout cookie season. Priced at $10 each, 100 percennt of the proceeds from the dessert will benefit the Girl Scouts – Arizona Cactus-Pine Council.
For $25, guests of HB Hanratty’s Pub in Phoenix will get a three-course tasting menu of Old Dixie’s food truck’s Southern comfort food in honor of Arizona Beer Week. (HB Hannratty and Old Dixie’s teamed up for the event.) Expect Boudin Balls, crispy fried house-made sausage, rice and seasoning topped with Kiltlifter beer mustard; chorizo meatloaf with mashed potatoes; and Old Dixie’s signature buttermilk biscuits and jam, alongside craft beer offerings.
